A Palestinian-American youth having endured 270 days in Israel's custody without charge has been freed.

Mohammed Ibrahim was fifteen years old at the time of his arrest last February within the occupied West Bank, where he was visiting on holiday from Florida for allegedly throwing stones at Jewish settlers, which he previously denied.

United States authorities expressed satisfaction with the news of Mohammed's release.

Currently aged sixteen, required hospitalization for treatment immediately after release, according to close relatives.

Family described him as pale, underweight, and is suffering from conditions developed during imprisonment.

Via family representatives, the youth's uncle spoke of the family's "tremendous relief".

The uncle, Zeyad Kadur stated the family experienced "living a horrific and endless nightmare" during the entire detention period.

"Right now, we are focused on ensuring Mohammed receives prompt healthcare he requires following exposure to Israel's abuse and inhumane conditions throughout his detention."

US officials announced ongoing to provide consular support to Mohammed's family.

{"US government authorities has no higher priority than the safety and security for United States citizens"," it added.

Several congressional representatives submitted a formal letter to the state department and President Donald Trump, demanding more be done for his freedom.

Mr Ibrahim, with four children who runs an ice cream business in Florida, previously claimed his child admitted guilt about rock throwing due to physical abuse.

He had not seen or spoken to Mohammed since the arrest, receiving updates exclusively regarding the treatment via legal paperwork.

The teenager remained lacking indictment in Ofer prison in the West Bank.

The facility also contains grown detainees, featuring prisoners sentenced regarding severe security violations and murder.

There are around 350 Palestinian minors in security custody being held in Israeli jails, according to the Israeli Prison Service.

Many have never been charged while advocacy organizations, as well as the United Nations, document cases involving physical abuse and torture.

Following Mohammed's release, the uncle stated they would maintain their efforts for justice for his cousin Sayfollah Musallet.

The dual national youth per medical officials died from beating by Israeli settlers during a confrontation in July.

Initially, military authorities reported officials were investigating accounts of a Palestinian had been killed.

The two cousins had worked together at their family's ice cream business from Tampa.

No charges have been filed for the cousin's murder.

"We expect the American government to safeguard our relatives," Mr Kadur said.
